Ideas for holidays, weekends and trips in Salon-De-Provence and its surroundings

There are numerous attractions to be found in Provence. While staying at the Premiere Classe Salon de Provence hotel visit the Chateau de l'Emperi. The Chateau was the biggest castle in Provence during the 12th and 13th centuries and still dominates the town. After damage was caused by the 1909 earthquake, the castle was restored and now hosts a fascinating museum of military history. Every summer the stunning castle hosts an international classical music festival, which is well worth a visit. Visitors should make sure they book early so they don't miss out. The Fontaine Moussue, is in Place Crousilla, close by, while the Saint Michel Chapel was built during the 13th century. Both of these are worth a visit. Every Wednesday, the Place Morgan is host to a Provençal market, where you can pick up many treats to bring back home. If you fancy some sport and leisure, there are tennis courts, a swimming pool, horse riding facilities and golf courses all within 4km of the Premiere Classe Salon de Provence hotel. For those who are more adventurous, Aquacity is just a 40 minute drive away, and the Zoo Barben is only 15km from the hotel. The Ville de Nostradamus is also close by and worth making time for.
